Over the course of 3 years i have simplified my diet, and the space i live in. Living alone in a family apartment is still a tough challenge as it will limit the amount of things that i’m able to reduce. Hopefully in the coming year i will be having my own personal space in which i can live 100% comfortable with no blockages around.
One of the main issues that people encounter is, from were to start. List all the reasons why you want to simplify your life. Have a good look around you and take note of the things that don’t serve you any more and discard any duplicates that come in sight. Why own two or more of the same items when you really need one ? or sometimes even none at all .. !
Have a good look in your wardrobe. Do you really need all those clothes ? how much of them are you really wearing ?. Noticed anything that has been laying there for years or something that is out of date to your liking ?. Separate clothes, those which you think you will use and those which don’t really serve you anymore and start decluttering your personal space.
Another important step is the evaluation of your time. How do you usually spend your day ?. List the items that you use throughout your day and evaluate whether they are in line with your priorities. If not, discard the things that aren’t.
Living as a minimalist does not mean eliminating everything from your life.
Minimalism is used as a tool to eliminate things from your life that no longer serve you and in some way or another are causing you mental blockages. Who doesn’t enjoy decluttered life right ?
